Βιογραφικό/Faculty Bio

Teaches Macroeconomics, Banking and Financial Economics. He received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Calgary, his Master’s degree from the University of Saskatchewan and his B.A. from the University of Macedonia. He was recently a Visiting Scholar at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He was invited to present research seminars at the European Central Bank, the University of Michigan, Temple University, etc. Serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Economic Asymmetries and is a fellow of the Euro Area Business Cycle Network, the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis, the Society for Economic Measurement and the Institute for Nonlinear Dynamical Inference (INDI). He serves as an expert on various international quality assurance accreditation and research evaluation committees. His current research interests include modelling and forecasting in macroeconomics, finance and banking using machine learning, complex networks and chaotic and non-linear dynamics. He publishes in journals such as, the Journal of Money Credit and Banking, Journal of Banking and Finance, International Journal of Forecasting, International Finance, Journal of Forecasting, Physica A, Computational Economics, Economic Modelling, Open Economies Review, etc. He is the author of several books in economics.
