This course (5th semester, 5 ECTS) aims at understanding tools for estimating causal impact using observational data and data from imperfect experiments. Concepts such as the classical linear model, the method of least squares, the method of maximum likelihood, hypothesis testing, as well as problems like multicollinearity, autocorrelation, and heteroscedasticity are analyzed. Examples/applications from the entire spectrum of economic analysis are given. Assessment includes a progress test (20%), assignment submission (10%), and a written exam (70%). The course is taught in Greek, with assignment possibilities for Erasmus students.
