Course Outline

e-Class
This general background undergraduate course constitutes the basic introduction to the concepts of supply chain management for goods and services. The course analyzes the strategic role and modern trends in supply chain management, focusing on design, planning, operation, and control, aiming at optimizing customer service. Upon successful completion, students will be able to identify basic concepts, understand the strategic role and efficiency of supply chains, analyze design and operation requirements, and address management issues considering general principles of management, HR, environmental impact, quality management, technological, and economic aspects. The course also helps them describe international supply chain operations, distinguish between logistics and supply chain management, and explain the contribution of technology. Teaching is done in person with lectures and exercises in the amphitheater, supported by the E-class platform. The course is taught in Greek but is also offered in English for Erasmus students.
