Digital Information Management and IT Applications

This course (7th semester, 5 ECTS) aims to give students a comprehensive picture of the management and processing of economic data and metadata. Students become familiar with selecting suitable applications (software) for data processing, understanding similarities and differences between them. They acquire knowledge on data import, export, search, and correlation techniques, as well as cutting-edge technologies like Cloud Computing, Blockchain, and IoT (Internet of Things). The course promotes critical ability in selecting applications and information security practices. Assessment is done using multiple-choice questions. The course is taught in Greek through lectures and laboratory application.
