Course Outline
e-Class
This course (7th semester, 5 ECTS) analyzes the operation of energy markets and price formation, as well as the role of energy in economic development. Students learn to interpret basic energy security and efficiency policies, estimate the impacts of energy policies on the environment and economy, and handle statistical data and tools for energy market analysis. Content includes demand and supply of energy products, oil, natural gas, coal, and renewable source markets, state interventions, and the energy transition. Assessment consists of a final exam (70%) and an individual assignment (30%). The course is taught in Greek.
