Dr Konstantinos J. Hazakis is Professor of economic development and entrepreneurship at the Department of Economics, in Democritus University of Thrace and a research fellow at the Institute of International Economic Relations in Athens. He holds a M.Sc. from London School of Economics and a Ph.D. from Panteion University of Athens. He has published four books in Greece and one in USA, (European political economy: theory and policy, Lexington, 2018) and he is co-editor of two books. He isthe author of several articles in academic journals among others, Journal of Regional Socio-Economic Issues, East West Journal of Economics and Business, Regional Science Policy and Practice, European Journal of Spatial Development, Politics and Policy, European society and politics, Bulletin of applied economics, regional integration: politics, economics and governance, Central European Journal of International and Security Studies. He has also published working papers in international institutes such as the Institute on comparative regional integration studies, (United Nations University, UNU-CRIS), the College of Europe, (Bruges), and the center for global political economy, (University of Sussex). His research interests include European political economy, economic development, institutional economics, macroeconomic stabilization, international economic policy coordination and international business strategy.
