Konstantinos Kollias is an Assistant Professor at the Economics Department of the Democritus University of Thrace and President of the Economic Chamber of Greece since February 2014. He is Partner and member of the BoD in a consulting firm, business development consultant in a Law Firm, member of the Renumeration and Nomination Committee and member of the Bod of the Athens International Airport, in which he has also served as Chairman of the Audit Committee.
After completing his Bachelor’s Degree at the Economics Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, he obtained his Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Piraeus and his PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in the same subject.
In the past, he has served as Special Secretary of Privatizations at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Director General at the Educational Center for Public Servants of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Alternate Governor of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB), representing the Hellenic Republic, vice-Chairman of the Bod of the Gas Supply Company Attica S.A., member of the BoD of the Athens Urban Transport Organization, financial advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Economy & Finance and visiting Professor at the Athens University of Economics & Finance.
His recent research interests focus on financial analysis of businesses, especially SME’s, financial instruments and Mergers and Acquisitions.
