This undergraduate course (6th semester, 5 ECTS) deepens into international macroeconomics and finance, analyzing the foreign exchange market, interest rate-exchange rate relationships, the balance of payments, and the role of macroeconomic policies. It examines balance of payments adjustment through income changes, elasticities, and money supply, as well as policy effectiveness in fixed or floating exchange rate regimes, with or without full capital mobility. The goal is to develop analytical thinking and problem-solving. Assessment is via a written final exam 100% (multiple choice, problem-solving, comparative theory evaluation), while the course is also offered in English for Erasmus students.
